I don’t think I have learned to write any better

I know that all of you RPC students like me only have a blog because you have to post your essays on it. But The only reason you d that is so people can correct them. But that is what i have noticed! No one is correcting them. All we do is like or say it is good because we don’t want to take the time to correct the essay. I do this too.

If only all teachers are equipped with the right knowledge on how to effectively teach, guide, and conduct assessments, the learning environment for each student would be so much better

With the knowledge I gained from this course, I would definitely bear all of what I have learned in heart and mind as I want my future students to experience holistic learning in my classes. I don’t want to commit the same mistakes that my teachers before have unintentionally done; I want to do my best in this career and vocation to make my students love learning. I want them to love learning or take interest in what I teach in hopes that someday they will impart the knowledge I have passed down to them. I aspire to be the teacher that will not make their school life difficult but rather make it bearable and enjoyable so they can maximize their abilities and potentials in my classes.

There are not enough people willing to put their health on the line for what are essentially poverty wages for a family of four or more, to care for and possibly educate other peoples’ children as substitute teachers

Our economy shut down when schools shut down. It became more visible how schools serve as community centers for social services including access to food, to child care, to health services, along with their primary mission of leading students to learn to read, write, solve mathematical problems, investigate like scientists and to become our future citizens.

Local school districts are experiencing growing pressure from educational experts, governing authorities and parents to reopen their campuses for the upcoming school year

Getting ready for a new school year is always a challenge, even under normal circumstances. But the challenge this year is beyond unprecedented. It is unimaginable. Administrators, teachers and maintenance staffs are being overwhelmed by the new and still-changing requirements, even as they struggle with difficult personal decisions about exposure and risk.

Teacher questions what authority some sites have to put out a list of educational apps when they are not affiliated with the educational world in a teaching context

Keywords: eci890 , ec&i890

“Educational” is a very wide spanning term – what I feel as a grade 5/6 teacher in a community is relevant and useful is WORLDS away from what I would have chosen last year, teaching grade 2/3 in a more affluent community.  What one person deems educational, another can find childish and not worth the time.  Some apps claim one thing and then you download them and it’s something completely different – especially in the context of school.

If you are catching me for the first time. ( I think I had 8 people looking at this blog before I abandoned it last year due to life) you will see from other posts I usually share a free idea or resource then say “This is how I would teach it.” So this post is just dipping my toe back into the biosphere after being too overwhelmed to keep up. Please share if you can. More users always helps keep me going!

Its summer 2019. I don’t even know when I touched this blog last. I created it because I hate pay to play teacher sites. Making money off your teaching ideas, resources and approaches is for college professors and textbook companies. Teachers Pay Teachers is the saddest commentary on the state of our profession. We take the meager salaries we have, invest them…

What if schools focused on improving relationships rather than test sc

attachment, Children, consciousness, education, family, legacy, peace, positive results

I feel this is sorely needed. Teaching what a child needs ,

rather than a fixed board of professionals , too often favored

for reasons other than meeting the goals of an individual being.

Schools have become like jails, teachers like wardens , given far

too many duties , along with tenure can thus endure bad examples

until it’s impossible to deny .

Social values have demised, and it’s lovely to witness a consciousness

that aligns itself with a return to unity .

University of Georgia education professor Peter Smagorinsky wrote a piece last year about a promisin…
